My name is Carolyn Gora. Welcome to my website goraART.com. I have taught art and exhibited my original art works for over 50 years.
My latest creations are original paintings titled "Birds of Paradise From Paradise." I live in tropical Florida and am surrounded with colorful blooming plants year round. I've captured the bright colors, and tropical flowers and plants in my paintings.
My series of birds, that are a take on the Bird of Paradise plants, started with an art exhibit I wanted to enter called "Tropical Botanicals." I was looking for a new way to portray the theme.
Around that time, my Birds of Paradise plants bloomed after being dormant for years. I realized that they looked like birds and the series began.
I hope you have as much fun with these as I have had making them.
